My Philosophy of the Book |

I believe that Dorothy represents both you and me. She is Every Man. Like every “hero” she is an ordinary person who takes an extraordinary journey.
This journey on the Yellow Brick Road, traveled with knowing, heart and courage, transforms this young girl into a mature woman. Any of us who face our life challenges with knowing, heart and courage, will likewise take the hero’s journey and we will be a better person for it. My book is about taking personal responsibility in an age of shame and blame. It is about being honest in a world filled with fraudulent wizards and un-faced witches. It is about taking the road less traveled and that road is paved in yellow brick. Life is both difficult and wonderful. If we take personal responsibility for the former (difficult) we will find the later (wonder). |
